All matching serial number 9322; indicating production in 1850. 7 1/2 inch .44 caliber round barrel with front sight, top of barrel marked "ADDRESS SAML COLT NEW-YORK CITY," the underside of the barrel frame with serial number and inspector's mark "M"; frame marked "COLT'S/PATENT" on the left side with inspector's mark "M," underside of frame with serial number; cylinder marked "MODEL U.S.M.R." and "COLT"S PATENT" in a foliate frame cartouche and with W.L. Ormsby battle scene and serial number; hammer has inspector's mark "M" on the left side; brass trigger guard with serial number and inspector's mark "K"; serial number on the bottom of the butt; walnut grip with "JH" cartouche on the left and worn cartouche on the right; appears to be 'WAT' all matching serial numbers found on the loading lever, barrel frame, frame, cylinder, and bottom of the butt, wedge is unmarked.

Fine honest example with traces of original finish in protected areas, muted case colors on frame with the balance of metal parts have a pleasing plum patina.
