Martially Marked Mass. Arms Co. Navy Revolver. Manufactured in America but based on well known English design using patents held by Adams and Kerr. Total of 1000 produced circa 1857-61. Around 600 of these revolvers were purchased by the US government.
Matching serial number 298 on cylinder and frame. 6-inch octagonal barrel. Checkered walnut grips with visible cartouches. Sub-inspectors letters appear on all major parts.
Metal surfaces retain 30% fading blue mixing with patina. Grips show light wear. Dark bore with some pitting.
