Excellent Confederate Naval Boarding Cutlass by Cook & Brother. Crisp and well struck 'Cook & Brother' marking on the inside of the brass cup hilt.
Blade is in outstanding condition for a Confederate made sword. Mostly bright, retains original tool and cross polishing marks. There are isolated spots of pitting and staining confined mostly to the lower part of the blade. Brass hilt retains full original form with a deep dark patina, and original tooling marks. The weapon is quite sturdy.
