Scarce 2-Pin Smith & Wesson Model No. 2 Army Revolver. 32 caliber rimfire. 5 inch barrel. Early serial number 324 appears on butt and inside of right grip. Inside face of barrel housing is marked with two dots and '4''. The model No. 2 was a popular personal sidearm with many officers and enlisted men during the Civil War. Very few of these 2-pin early production revolvers have survived in this fine condition.

70-80% original blue finish remains mostly on frame and thinner on barrel towards muzzle. 80% thin blue on cylinder with a crisp patent mark and dates of 1859 and 1860. Bore is mostly bright with a tiny amount of pitting at muzzle. No play at barrel pin. Rosewood grips retain most of their original varnish. Action is tight and precise.
